If wondered, I became fascinated by taps and their strange designs when I realised my children were having thoughts of how to use them. Since then I took photos of interesting, nice, clean, strange and failed designs. If you have any to share, I would be glad to add them to my collection.<\/p>\n

Taps 33: water control at the end of the spout. Turn the lever clockwise to start the flow.<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taps 32: foot operated drinking fountain<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 30: fountain with a weak water flow<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taps 26: a weird “lever from aerator” tap. Well … guess how it operates.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 25: pull tap vs push tap. How to pull with soapy hands?<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 24: separated push tap. How to push them at the same time and wash hands? Beware of no sink plug.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 23: Tap with pedals. I didn’t see them and was waiving to imaginary sensors all over the place. <\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 22: a push tap with a nice design for temperature control. The amount of blue\/red depicts the water temperature.<\/a><\/p>\n

Tap 19: adjust and push<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taps 18: the hiding tap. One needs to bend to see this (look at the post for a perspective of an adult).<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 17: hold me down tap. One needs to hold both levers down; at least it is possible to plug the sink.<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taps 16: the wings<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taps 15: joystick to play with. One can only wash one hand at the time. Except if moving lever with something else than hands.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 14: a push me tap. With instructions and a light to draw attention.<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 13: confusing pulling and turning. Turn for temperature and pull out (tricky to spot) for the flow.<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taps 12: the side little handle to set the water temperature. One without the colour indication and one with it.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 7 – a clean design with two coloured lines. A mixer tap with visible coloured signs for temperature.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 6: Instructions tu push on a nice design with coloured symbols for the temp.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 5: a waving interface with instructions and too much text<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 4: a mixer tap with hidden temperature signs<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 3: separated shower controls<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 2: the more one moves it to the left, higher the flow and hotter the water.<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Taps 1: classic British separated tap. Plug the sink, mix in the water of desired temperature and wash yourself.<\/a><\/p>\n
