With the latest version of Viber installer on my phone I tried to activate it also on my fresh Windows 11 setup. It did not work. I re-installed the latest version of Viber for Windows 21.3.1 several times. Each time I also removed the Viber folder from the Username\/AppData\/Roaming if that was maybe a cause of the problem. I also deactivated my macOS Viber to check if that was the issue only to end up with the same problem. Now I could not activate Viber on 2 computers. At the end I managed to activate it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. I installed Viber version 18.7.0.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Activation did go though.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Then I updated Viber to latest version.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    No idea why this worked. Random.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    One of the Nielsen’s heuristics<\/a> is “Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors”. This Viber error message breaks it big time. Their team did not respond on numerous requests over 3 weeks. And apparently I’m not the only one with the same issue. User [deleted] on Reddit<\/a> wrote:

    i have the same issue and Viber support is useless, it has been over 2 weeks now and every support ticket is a pointless “reinstall the app” message and they don’t reply after.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
